Before I started as a lawyer in one of the large international law firms, I was a DJ and had already founded two start-ups. After two years in M&A, I was sure that while law is my passion, technology and innovation excite me. And that I value people and to spend time and to interact with them.

Today, I have found exceptional colleagues who share with me the vision of an outstanding law firm. Not in terms of the outstanding quality of our work (which I take for granted), but in terms of the way we treat each other and our clients. Of course we are digital, forward-looking, responsive, unpretentious and honest. But above all, we are interested in each other and in the needs of our clients. This is how we build long-lasting relationships with mutual respect, in which we can rely on each other. Reliability and prudence are the values by which I measure myself and my work.

In my daily work, I accompany changes in companies that usually relate to my main areas of expertise in e-commerce, IT, commercial and corporate law. The focus is often on strategic questions of further corporate development or classic contract negotiations (also with international reference), especially in software contracts and IT projects (including data protection), in licensing agreements, in commercial contracts or in contracts with reference to corporate law (company succession, transformations, company sales/M&A). I also advise on real estate transactions and real estate projects.

Science & Research

For more than 15 years, I have regularly published scientific articles and given lectures at conferences. I am asked time and again why I “do this to myself”. Expressing oneself academically does not only have to do with the further development of the law. Writing an essay brings a completely different depth than just reading it. You only give lectures in front of an audience of experts if you are absolutely well versed. Science creates knowledge. Knowledge is the basis for forward-looking action and thus for the quality of my work – equally for start-ups or for an internationally operating corporation.

I enjoy teaching very much. In my many years of teaching, since 2017 as a professor of business law, I have learned to inspire students for my supposedly dry subject of law with entertaining and practical lessons. I know what I’m doing; that’s why I can convey complex issues in an understandable way.
